Sales Development Representative
Position Summary
Primary Job Responsibilities
Prospect Qualification and Appointment Setting:
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities to identify and qualify potential customers within defined target accounts. Think of it as a treasure hunt, but with fewer pirates and more phone calls.
- Use effective questioning techniques to uncover prospects' business challenges, needs, and decision-making processes. Be the Sherlock Holmes of the business world.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to schedule high-quality sales appointments and demos with qualified prospects.
Needs Assessment and Value Proposition:
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to discover pain points and qualify leads based on their fit with Netgain solutions. Your mission: turning frowns into smiles with our software.
- Clearly communicate Netgain's value proposition and differentiate our offerings from competitors during initial conversations. Make them wonder how they ever lived without us.
Competitive & Sales Intelligence:
- Stay informed about competitors' products, market trends, and industry developments to effectively position Netgain's solutions. Know the battlefield like the back of your hand.
- Learn about Netgain products and become a more competent representative of the company. Be the product guru everyone turns to.
- Learn and apply best practices using a variety of tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, etc. Master the art of the sales toolkit.
Documentation and CRM Management:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions and activities in the CRM system. Treat the CRM like your best friend.
- Ensure timely and effective follow-up with prospects to move them through the sales pipeline. No lead left behind.
- Continuously improve processes to help us be more productive and efficient. Be the productivity superhero we all need.
Skills and Qualifications
Interest and passion for high-tech, SaaS sales career
Excellent Communication Skills:
- Ability to engage prospects and convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively. Make talking about accounting sound like a conversation about the latest blockbuster.
- Organizational Prowess:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.
Performance Driven:
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and achieve or exceed performance targets. Thrive on the adrenaline of hitting your numbers.
- Sales Experience:
- Previous experience as an SDR, BDR, or in a sales-related role is advantageous. Bonus points if you’ve closed deals in your sleep.
Tech-Savvy:
- Familiarity with CRM software (ideally HubSpot) and sales prospecting tools is a plus.
